WHO AM I?

The first call + American dinner

Hi everyone,
on January 21st I called my host family for the first time.
In reality, my host sister called me on January 20th, but we only talked for 15 minutes. She was very nice! I was nervous about talking in English or misundestranding, but that call really broke the ice. In fact, after it, I felt more confident about my English. Thanks Caytlin!
I should call them at 9 p.m. on January 21st with my parents as we had planned. Before calling them, I was a bit anxious because it was the first call, so I wanted to make a good impression.
Then when we were all ready (and my parents thought that the location and the lights were good😂), I just pushed the icon with the phone and they replied me.
The more time wentby, the less I felt agitated: they were so nice!😊
We didn't talk a lot, but we finally made it, we got the ball rolling!!
I'm very happy that I have found an amazing family!
After the call, I got extremely excited and I would like to fly to Bloomington in that moment.
Then, Tim (my host father) wrote me on Whatsapp (yes, they have whatsapp😲) that they will always supporte me while I'm there, so I really felt loved.

On February 17th, I went to one of my friend house to have dinner. Her name is Anna and she is also an exchange student with the same association as me (this is the reason why I met her). She is going to Melstone, a small city in Montana and she got the double placements which means there will be also another exchange student aside from her in the host family. If you want to have some more informaton about them, they have a blog that they use together and this is the link: nienkeandannatousa.blogspot.com.
Anyway, Anna and I decided to make an American dinner. If you are curious, I will add some photos down below.

Anna made the hamburgers.

I made this cake with the American flag.

Everything was delicious! We had a lot of fun together! We watched YouTube videos, tv shows and, of course, we talked about the USA, our exchange year, our family, our houses, our cities, our feelings etc..
