WHO AM I?

#week19 (goodbye Lara)

Hi everyone,
on December 26th, I went with the other three exchange students to Steak 'n Shake, and to the movie theater to see Aquaman. We exchnaged presents, and we said goodbye to Lara, the girl from Germany, she would leave on 28th. That was so sad, but she didn't know that we were thinking about going to the airport to see her again.💕

During this week, I got sick, so the next day I didn't do anything😷.

On December 28th, Ale, Luna, and I suprised Lara at the airport. She was so happy! We spent around an hour with her, and then we said "see ya soon". That moment was kinda sad, but we tried not to cry. When we were whaving at her walking away, the thought of when I left and when I have to leave again came up in my mind, and I got even sadder. I thought about when I have to say goodbye to everyone, and everything. I realized that I'm not ready at all. You may think that I'm just halfway through my year, and I still have time: you are right. However, I don't know how to feel about that because: yes, I still have a lot of time that I'm not gonna waist, but on the other hand it's going to go even faster than the first months because this is my life now.

#day135-136 (Christmas Eve + Christmas Day)

Hi everyone,
on Christmas Eve, I went to the mall with my host sister to find the last present that she needed and around 3 pm, I went to church with my host family and.. I dressed up, like wearing a dress😲😀. Around 6 pm, we had dinner and it was super good. We ate pasta with my host mum's sauce and it was super good. After that, we ate, we sat by the Christmas tree and we talked. My host parents gave me a pjs that match with theirs, so everyone had matching pjs. That was such an American thing😍.

On Christmas Day, as soon as we woke up, we opened all the presents. First, the dogs (yes, they get presents) because they are the youngest, then my host sister and me. Here in America, everyone usually makes a Christmas presents' wish list where you add as many presents as you want at least 2 or 3 weeks before Christmas day. For this reason, everyone knows what you want, so you are most likely going to get stuff that you like. I got three sweatshirt (a nike one, a pink one, and a super cute one), 2 pandora charms, a pair of uggs😍, a shirt, a poster, and a lot of chocolate from my host family. I liked everything!!
During the day, we just chilled watching movies, eating, and talking.
At around 7, we had the big dinner, and we ate so good😋. In America, there isn't a type of food that everyone eats on Christmas day (as in Italy), so we had meat, with vegetables, and tiramisù. My host mum is super good at cooking!!

#day134 (Chicago)

Hi everyone,
On Sunday, we went to the History Museum and there were some really cool things! American History Museums are so different from the Italian ones because there are thousands of years less.

After that, we ate, we went to the Bean😍 and we left.

#day133 (Chicago)

Hi everyone,
on December 22th and 23th, my host family and I went back to Chicago. I really like Chicago, and going back there was one of my wishes for Christmas break. I'm very thankful to my host family that always tries the best to fulfill my wishes.
On Saturday, we took the train, after breakfast at McDonald's (it's a tradition haha), and we got there around noon.
Then, we went to German markets and we got food. It was super cute because it reminded me of the markets that are in Bozen, a city in the north of Italy that I really like.

After that, we went to our hotel where there was a breathtaking view😍

After that, we walked in Michigan Avenue, and we went to the candy store to get a lot of candies.

Then, we went to the John Hancock Center. That was amazing😍

Around 7 pm, we went to the best deep dish pizza restaurant, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria😍😋
