#week7 (meet + football game)

Hi everyone,

On Monday, the week started again and everyone was exhausted because of homecoming.

On Tuesday, I had morning practise and I ate two entire waffles for my first time.

On Wednesday, my sister and I had a 'sister's night' so we ordered pizza from Papa John's.

On Thursday, I had a swimming meet from 3:30 pm to 8 pm. It was so long!

On Friday after swimming, I went home, I took a shower and at 6:30 pm I went to the football game. The theme was pink because it was cancer day, so I wore my pink sweatshirt.

After more than 2 hours and a half, the game was over and our team won!🏈

#day49 (My Homecoming)

Hi everyone,

I can finally say that it's the day of homecoming!

Besides that I woke up at 6 am because I hadn't turned my alarm clock off, it was an amazing day!

At 10 o'clock I went to paint my nails with my host mum and Luna. It was the first time that someone did my fingernails and my toenails hahah. I decided to paint them all white with silver sparkling ring fingers and I think they really matched with my dress and my shoes. 

After that, I went home, I ate something and at 2:30ish I started getting ready.

My host mum offered to do my hair, so she started straighting them. At about 3 pm, Luna came to my house because she asked my host mum to do also her hair. When my hair was ready, I put makeup on and I wore my dress. 

At 5:30 pm my host parents drove us to McGraw which is a place to take pictures before homecoming. When we found my group, we started taking a lot of pictures.

At about 6:30 pm we went to Olive Garden, an Italian restaurant, to eat. They call it American Italian restaurant for a good reason😂. Even though it wasn't Italian, I liked it.

The dance started at 8 pm, but we went there at 8:30 pm. When we arrived, we gave our tickets to the staff and then we left our shoes and our phones.

First, there weren't a lot of people, so we just talked, then when almost everyone was there and the music was good, we started dancing. It was so hot in the middle of all those people😂, but it was fun! 

At 11 pm the dance was over, so we got our stuff and we went outside. My host dad picked me up, we went home, I took a quick shower and then he drove me to Kendra's. At Kendra's, we ate, we talked, we looked at the pictures that we had taken in the afternoon and we slept. I was super tired! 

The morning after, I woke up at about 9 am and I started talking with three girls that were already awak, waiting for other people to wake up. Then, we ate donuts and muffins! I had a lot of fun with them! I love them so much!💗💗

#day48 (homecoming pep rally + football game)

Hi everyone,
On Friday at 1:30 p.m. there was the Homecoming Pep Rally at school. Basically, everyone at school got to go to the gym, besides the people that do a sport or that took part in the homecoming court (16 seniors: 8 girls and 8 boys, that all the seniors of the school had voted for). Given that I'm in the swimming team, I met my swimming team and we waited for the teacher that was talking in the gym with the microphone to announce us. When he announced us, we entered the gym and everyone was clapping (so did all the other teams). After that, all the homecoming court walked across the gym, and the queen and king were elected. They walked again across the gym and they sat on two thrones. It was so cool!

Then, everyone sat and watched the dance team's performance and the cheerleaders' performance.

At 4 pm, I went to my host sister's cross country meet and it was fun, even though I was freezing⛅

At 6:30 pm, my host dad drove Luna and I to the football game. Fortunately, she had 2 blankets (one for me) because it was really cold. At 7 pm it started and at about 9:30 pm it was over. It was fun, but super long and I still don't really understand football😅.

At the beginning and in the middle of the game, the band performed and I think it was super cool!🎸

#day48 (Purple and Gold Day)

Hi everyone,

Friday was purple and gold (the colors of my school) day. I wore my purple swimming shirt, my grey swimming sweatshirt and a purple neklace that the school gave us the day of the first football game. In addition, during the last hour at school, I met a girl in the bathroom who had gold painting, so she made two stripes under my eyes.
